Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Representative who wants to build a real career in sales or business development. You will own the full journey from first outreach to signed customer. You will learn how to prospect, run discovery, position value and close deals with real decision makers in the short term rental space.

This role starts as commission based. If you consistently hit targets for three months, you will be considered for a full time offer with base salary plus commission, subject to business needs and mutual fit.

This role is a strong fit for early career candidates and career switchers who want serious sales experience. It is also open to experienced sales professionals who want a flexible commission based opportunity.


What You Will Do

  • Research and identify short term rental owners and property managers
  • Reach out through email, phone and LinkedIn to start conversations
  • Run structured discovery to understand their goals and pain points
  • Explain clearly how PX can increase revenue and reduce daily work
  • Guide interested owners through our 15 day trial and onboarding process
  • Coordinate with the PX team to get new properties live on the platform
  • Keep your pipeline organized and report on activity and results

What You Bring

  • Genuine interest in sales or business development and a desire to grow in this path
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with outreach, follow up and hearing "no" without losing energy
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time in a remote environment
  • Curiosity about tech, real estate or hospitality
  • Experience in SaaS, real estate or hospitality is a plus, not a requirement

Commission Amount (Per Account)

The contractor earns, for each customer account that reaches a commissionable event, a commission equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the First month's Revenue for that account.

For purposes of this Agreement, “First Month Revenue” means the total recurring subscription and usage fees actually paid by the customer to Company for access to the PX Accounting platform (currently offered at pxaccounting.com) during the first full monthly billing cycle immediately following completion of the applicable 14-day trial period, excluding any taxes, refunds, or chargebacks.

If a single customer operates multiple accounts under separate subscriptions, each account is commissionable separately once it meets the commissionable event conditions.

Example (for illustration only, one account with 100 listings):

A customer signs up for one PX Accounting Account that manages 100 short-term rental listings.
The subscription fee is
$20.00 per listing per month, resulting in total first-month revenue of $20 × 200 listings = $4000 for that account.

  • Commission = 100% × $4000 = $4000
  • The commission is paid in a single full payment on the first payout date that occurs after the following events take place:
  1. Customer’s signature on a minimum 3-month commitment contract agreement.
  2. The first billing transaction.

Even though the account includes 100 listings, the commission is calculated on the total billed revenue for that account—not per individual listing.

If the customer adds more listings later under the same account, any increased revenue from those additional listings is not commissionable unless it results in a new account or new subscription created within the term.


Path to full time

Meet or exceed agreed targets for three consecutive months and you will be considered for a full time role with base salary plus commission.

  • Decision & Offer: If it’s a fit on both sides, we’ll move quickly to get you started.

Timeline: The entire hiring process will be completed within two-three weeks from application submission. Candidates who are invited to the introductory call or any subsequent stage will receive personalized feedback, regardless of the outcome.
